so i got a new tablet today, the bamboo fun. and everything was bright and shiny and the world was happy and then i tried to install it… :[ and that was a nightmare. i don’t know what happened.. maybe it wasn’t the tablet’s fault, maybe it was, who knows. all i know is that it asked me to restart my computer, and i did, and when windows came back, nothing worked! i had a panic attack and then calmed myself and tried to fix what had gone wrong. i figured, ok the tablet driver has caused a problem and maybe its stuck. so i booted in safe mode, and removed the driver and restarted. the problem PERSISTED! so i thought ok, i’ll just system restore to a point before i installed this thing… no dice. nothing was working, it was lagged to the point where i could not use it, yet in safe mode it was fine, so i knew it couldn’t be a hardware issue.

so i bit the bullet and did a pc restore. using a program on my computer’s restore partition (i have an hp pavillion) i was able to restore without losing documents which was nice because i wanted to keep my sims 2 stuff. most of my stuff is on the external drive so stuff wasn’t lost.

so now i’m restoring all the programs that were killed due to the restore.. X_x i’m glad i have two computers…

i’m seeing this kinda like a sign that i need to restart more than my computer. my life has taken a pretty swift swoop downward and i think i should try to pick it up a bit.. what an awful way to end the year… screwed up computer and alot to think about.

someone somewhere has marked my comments on their blog as spam using akismet, which means that now, akismet thinks i am comment spam and sends my comments to the spam queue. so if you are from despair and you havne’t recieved comments from me, please check your queue to see if i ended up there…

does anyone know how i can go about fixing this? it’s really crap to be marked as spam when you’re definitely not! not to mention on my own blog when i reply to someone’s comments my comment gets sent to my own spam queue!

ok now that i’m done complaining i figure i’ll give a little update on the WoW adventures with lucas. we’re at level 27 now! going pretty quick since we’re constantly in a group… not to mention this server is a little more high rate than the regular WoW so we get more experience per quest and stuff like that. its been fun so far. i’ve never really played enough of the blood elf side to see what it’s like but so far we’ve done some really cool quests and i love the scourge areas… so pretty!

being dragged off to do more of that! *poofs*

i introduced lucas to WoW today.. we’re playing a private server at the moment because i don’t have the money to spend on subscription and he wasn’t sure if he’d like the game or not but after playing non stop with him for about 4 hours i am pretty sure he is hooked XD!

i let him choose our race, he picked blood elves. i made a pally cause i need to tank.. i suck at magic classes.. lucas chose a warlock which i don’t know much about so i’m having a hard time instructing him on how to use his skills and stuff… not to mention i cannot remember what the original ui looks like anymore! since i use a custom ui (yay spartan ui!) i have totally forgotten what the original looks like, or where things are placed on it. so i’m helping him the best i can. i will have to teach him about mods next *gulp*

kinda missed out on posting about thanksgiving D: didn’t mean to just got swamped with some junk.

i’m a bit pissed off a flickr recently over their guidelines involving content thieves. i’ve found several people ripping off images from deviant art and claiming them as their own. they get to go on their merry way yet those of us who are sick of seeing thieves running rampant get punished when we try to do something to put a stop to them. a friend of mine made a flickr group and yes we were naming names and showing people that there are thieves out there… and of course flickr squashed it… do they squash the thieves? no. not at all… the stolen work still remains and nothing is done!

*grumps* anyway i’m also pretty irritated at despair and i’m thinking of just taking myself off of it.. what’s the point when i’ve only had a couple of commenters… that site used to be great and i used to end up with alot of comments and alot of new blogs to check out.. but now it just seems dead. the urge to blog kinda dies when i am faced with the fact that no one is actually reading this thing :/ i dunno maybe i’m just being down or something… bleh.

i’m off to walmart for groceries now…
