lucas and i spend a lot of time watching movies online. mostly via justin.tv where people stream them. its a great way for us to spend some time together and feel close because we watch the movie together and all that stuff..

anyway last night he picked “the midnight meat train”… we’re both fans of horror, good and bad. but i tend to be more nitpicky about what horror movies i watch (hell i’m nitpicky about any movie i watch).

this movie was a big… WTF.

there was some great horror moments, lots of blood, twists and turns but also, a lot of stuff left you thinking.. “uh.. what?” especially near the end. they did not really explain a lot of things that happened in the movie, which was kind of annoying and left you to just speculate what the hell they were showing you.

i can’t decide if i actually liked this movie or not, and that’s bugging me. i might just have to watch it again. it does seem to be based off of a clive barker shot story, which definitely gives it points.

another small wtf for this movie? brooke shields plays a very small roll.. you see her like.. twice. *blinks* what has become of poor brooke.. lol

so, all in all.. i’m going to give this movie 3 stars out of 5. if you like blood and guts (and i mean  A LOT OF IT) then you might want to check this film out.
