well for a while now, our cat has been scratching himself raw from fleas.. i feel really bad about it, because we don’t really have the money to take him to a vet or get stuff to fix the fleas. (no i am not a bad pet owner.. i am just down on my luck right now..)

my brother finally noticed the situation today, when he realized that dorian is licking blood into his fur, which is why his colouring is so weird. to be honest i seriously thought he was just changing colour with the season… now i feel bad. however my brother has kindly offered to pay for him to go to the vet, he is also going to buy some no water shampoo for us to help get rid of the fleas and clean his fur..

one of our biggest problems was the fact that dorian would not go near water, and neither i nor my mother are able to control him enough to give him a proper bath. last time we tried, mom almost lost an eye. but i had tried to clean him up a little by running a damp washcloth over his fur now and then… i know that’s not the best way to do things but it was better than nothing.

i’m glad my brother came by today and noticed the problem, because now hopefully it will all be ok i’ve raised this cat since he was a kitten, so i am pretty protective over him, just lack of money and lack of help (mom won’t help me bathe him) have made it a bit stressed. i feel bad, like i didn’t protect him.. but hopefully he will be all right now.
