they’ve moved him to the big hospital in the nearby city. this is not a good sign, but i’m hoping he will pull though. he is coherent and talking, answering the phone and stuff, but they still don’t know why his defib went off like it did. according to the doctors though, its possible he has a blood clot in his lung which caused it to go off. i don’t really know enough to say more.

my dad was on the phone with the doctor when i walked into the living room just now. he has been sick all week with an infection and of course his defib going off. mom was with him reading off lists of medications and what not when he dropped the phone and slumped over. he jumped and came to, said it went off again. mom freaked grabbed the phone and called 911, hanging up on the doctor he had been speaking to.

the defib shocked him 7 times in all before the ambulance arrived.. he fell out of his chair and they had to carry him from the floor to the streacher.

my mother is in a panic, and i of course have to be the glue… writing this right now just to get it out of my head because if i don’t i’m probably going to collapse into some sort of manic state…

i hate this.

Books are the most amazing thing in the world. I get so sucked into stories that I'll open a book and not come up for air until its finished. Right now I'm eyeing this awesome series by Sherrilyn Kenyon that I found out about recently. The second book, ‘Born of Fire’ comes out November 3rd, and just reading the excerpt on their website was enough to make me crave more!

This author is amazing and I'm really amazed I'd never heard of her until now! a #1 New York times best selling author, she is considered “the reigning queen of the paranormal genre that she pioneered long before the world had heard of Twilight.” Hah.. that quote alone makes me more interested in her stuff.

so lucas was gone for a couple of days and i was stuck having to entertain myself. i got on sl and ran around with some friends when all of a sudden i heard my dad yell for my mom. his defibrillator went off and woke him up in the middle of the night. not good. he’s been sick all week which made his birthday suck. i hate seeing him so miserable. anyway after the shock he sat down and mom put on clothes and was dressing him to take him to the hospital when he started to feel worse and so she called an ambulance instead because she was afraid he was going to end up getting shocked again and they can take better care of him than she can in her car.

i stayed up all night worrying by the phone and trying to take my mind off things by running around random places in sl. finally they returned home at 5am, with dad, but he’s really weak.

they have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. i hope everything is ok.

this shit never gets any easier… this is the 3rd time its gone off in the last couple of months and its really starting to scare me. i don’t want to lose him.

I’ve been thinking recently about finding a way to just pick up and move to Japan. Yeah I know that’s kind of nuts, But I’d love to do it. I think the Japanese are an amazing race of people. I love their culture, their language, and well lets face it, I love their cartoons.

I’d love to just visit there sometime. Lucas has been in the past and said it was really beautiful and he’d love to go back, so maybe someday we’ll do that together. Trips like that are really expensive, but sometimes you can find really great deals, like the Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific deal I found today. hopefully I can find something like this in the future when I have the money to go! I was just reading about this and apparently the rates are really low, some of them only $30 a night! That’s just wow. I always expected a trip like that to be insanely expensive, so finding a deal like that was pretty surprising. It would be even cooler if it included air fare but hey every little bit counts right?

First thing’s first though.. need to start practicing my Japanese! Have you ever wanted to go to a different country? Let me know in the comments.

wow this is like.. crazy family birthday month. both my parents’ birthdays are within a couple of days of each other and my uncle’s birthday was also last week!

my mother and i don’t really get along well. but there are times when she can be understanding. i wish i had the great relationship others have with their mother but i just don’t think that’s going to happen between us.

anyway today is her birthday and that’s a good thing because without her i’d not be here

today is my father’s birthday. every year now i breathe a sigh of relief that i’ve gotten to keep him another year.

everyday i go and delete the pile of spam that akismet collects for me.. i think my blog would probably be crushed under the weight of it if i didn’t have that plugin!

recently i’ve noticed that the main influx of spam i’ve been getting in my comments all originates from russian urls or at least russian emails. most of the time the messages are just ????????? over and over again, sometimes its in russian, and sometimes its tricky and makes me think its a person but the url gives it away.

so what is up with this crap?? and why isn’t more done about it? meehhh!

anyway, sorry about that.. i have nothing to blog about and i think i need a nap X_x

finally getting though all the projects i’ve been dealing with all month long! and as things are winding down so are lucas and i X_x. some days we are just lazy and sit around watching tv online. he mostly likes to watch movies if he can find them but i prefer to watch tv shows! after getting addicted to flashforward i’ve started looking for more shows to get hooked on.

places that let you watch TV online are perfect for us because we are in a long distance relationship. we can curl up together on gtalk voice and zone out on tv just like we would if we were in the same room :D. i wonder what we’ll watch tonight?

i love to watch justin.tv especially the gaming channels. i’ve found a lot of really interesting japanese videogames to play online from there. last night i stumbled across typemania and my fingers now hate me.

i am a really fast typer. about 80 wpm, but i do make a lot of small mistakes and hit the backspace. i’ve learned how to hit it fast enough that it doesn’t usually count against me in time though. i love typing games but this one knocked me flat on my ass.

in typemania you type out the lyrics to a song one line at a time as it plays. there’s a time bar that counts down for that specific line and you try to beat the time line with your typing. there is no backspace.. and oh yeah.. you’re typing japanese!

the songs are all from videogames and anime from what i can tell. for me it was a lot of fun. but it drove me nuts trying to type the words . even though they are english characters, they are japanese words, and so it gets a little confusing when you’re used to quickly typing english words. all in all i loved it. i’m sure i’ll be addicted to it for a while.
