well after my dad has been in and out of the hospital in october, my mother is now in the hospital. apparently her sugar was really high and there is a chance that she has either had, or may have a stroke. she was slurring her speech for a while and complaining of numbness on one side. i’m glad my brother forced her to the hospital (she didn’t want to go!) cause she could have had a stroke driving and hurt herself or others… bleh. i don’t understand why people don’t go to the doctor when they are sick. hell i’m scared to death of hospitals and needles but if something wasn’t right i’d be in the damn ER immediately.

anyway so i hope they caught what ever is wrong in time and can get this sorted out. and i’ll update if i hear anything.

while mom is gone i am taking this opportunity to tidy up the house.. the lack of organization in our kitchen drives me insane but mom doesn’t like for me to reorganize anything so it stays in a state of disarray constantly. last night i washed every piled dish, cleaned dorian’s box, fixed dad lunch AND dinner, AND got his meds with only little confusion (he knows what he needs but i don’t so he had to describe bottles to me and X_x). today i had to wake up at this ungodly hour to fix dad breakfast before he leaves with my brother. this whole ordeal has made me realize that i should probably help out more around here, however i don’t think i enjoy waking up so early *dies*

so the other day i was whining on my twitter about the 5th anniversary prize being an onyxia welpling that you could only get if you logged in during the anniversary celebration. well being that my account was pretty much dead due to lack of funds i was sad cause i was going to miss out on an awesome pet.

tonight i got an awesome email from blizzard invited me back to WoW and giving me 7 free days to play on! AWESOME! so tonight i logged in and in my mailbox was not only the welpling, but the penguin you get for merging your account with battlenet!

blizzard must have been reading my mind because i’ve been trying to calculate if i can afford to buy a year’s worth of play time with my xmas funds. now that i’ve had a few days to play real wow (not a crappy private server) i SERIOUSLY miss it.. i feel like i’ve forgotten how to play! so look out arygos server i’m back for about 7 days and maybe after xmas i’ll be back for at least the next year XD

yeah i’m excited like a little kid… not just for thanksgiving but it reminds me that xmas is on its way and that means presents! i have picked out presents for my family and friends, i’ll probably get my brother some t shirts and my dad a book. my mom is harder to buy for, might get her a gift card or something. everyone usually gets me money for xmas because no one knows what to buy me, and that’s fine because then i can pick out some computer stuff for some funny t shirts for myself. what do you want for xmas?

i love this time of year because there’s a holiday every month.. october has halloween, november brings thanksgiving, december has xmas! i really love holidays, they make me happy. thanksgiving is approaching fast and i can’t wait. we don’t have a lot of tradition in this family but we never miss out on thanksgiving no matter what. it may not be some gigantic dinner for 20 but its always a great day filled with parade watching and eating too much turkey.

Remember last month when I wrote about Born of Fire? Well believe it or not Sherrilyn Kenyon has finished the third book of the series, ‘Born of Ice’. The excerpts I found last time really got me hooked on ‘The League’ series and I still haven’t been able to find them at the library! This town sucks when it comes to books.. maybe I can have them sent down from one of the city libraries.

Anyway, I’m really impressed with this writer’s stuff. I’d really love to read everything she’s written! I visited her website earlier and was browsing though the information, it looks really good and none of that mushy twilight junk here! (sorry kids, not a fan of the sparkle-pires). The site is great and also has info on the characters from the books with little profiles for each. I love when people take the time to do stuff like that. It really helps you get to know the characters you are reading about even more. She takes it one step further, her characters even have blogs! Seriously admiring this woman now…

The new book comes out December 1st and from the trailer it looks just as awesome as the first two. I couldn’t find an excerpt for this one but the trailer is pretty cool, so I’ll add that here for you guys to check out! Maybe i can get this set of books for xmas… *plots*

well while i was finding a new twitter app (i ended up going back to tweetdeck) i found a cool app for flickr as well! its still in beta but its pretty damn cool. its called flickroom and its another adobe air app. i’ve only been poking at it for about 10 minutes and i’m already in love. its a dark theme which is nice because that matches my laptop’s visual style. as well its easier to view images on black than on white in a lot of cases (especially my stuff) you can upload to flickr just by dragging and dropping, you can comment from the program, organize your pictures, check out your groups and new photos from your contacts all without having to go to the flickr website

the only thing i can see that is a bit of a downside, right now when i hit the fullscreen button the image is very pixelated, even when its a very large image that i know isn’t pixelated like that. hopefully that will be fixed in the future. otherwise its a pretty nice program!

one day its freezing cold, one day its almost summer.. i hate living in the south sometimes! i caught a 24 hour bug the other day that was kinda weird.. i felt sluggish and sick and had a fever but then when i woke up it was gone.. it wasn’t much like the flu but i just felt off.. sucked. mom blames it on this stupid weather rollercoaster we’re on.

the weather has also made it impossible for me to see the meteor shower that’s over our heads right now… i’ve been looking for it but so far the only light i’ve seen in the sky has been a plane :/ stupid clouds are blocking all the good stuff.

tonight is another episode of V! i can’t wait.. i am so hooked on tv again…

I seriously always forget about Black Friday.. every year it seems to pass me by and then i kick myself because I always miss out on something awesome. Seriously you would think the biggest shopping day of the year, I would remember it… The only time I really remembered it was when I worked at Walmart because I had to work the dreaded Black Friday shift! That was hell and I didn’t even get a chance to shop at the sale!

For Black Friday 2009 I’m going to be checking out websites that let you know what kind of deals are out there. Hey shopping from home on my computer seems a lot more comfortable than running around like a crazy person in a store wouldn’t you agree?
