I can’t believe I’m just now finding out about this! Arg.. now I’m kicking myself for deleting my twitter account. I might just set one up again to sign up for this! I always thought twitter was kind of a waste of time but this gives it a little bit more purpose!

Did you know you could make money with your twitter account? Well I didn’t until just now! Izea, the people who are behind socialspark and payperpost have created a website called sponsoredtweets.com which allows you to monetize your twitter much like you would your blog.

The system is really simple. Just sign up for sponsored tweets, then set up your info, price, category, and all that… Picture-26-468x306 and wait for advertisers to invite you to tweet about their services and products.

Just like paid blogging you always have the ability to accept or decline offers. The site even has a disclosure engine to make sure your posts are properly disclosed.

So its super easy, and a great way to make some extra cash. There’s even celebrities involved with this program! Hmm my mom has a twitter.. Maybe she’d be interested in this.
