Yes I know, I’ve been writing a lot about this book series lately. Sherrilyn Kenyon really is an awesome author though so I hope you guys are paying attention to what I’m saying! The League Series is finished and now its available in audio format! Personally I prefer to read the books myself but if you’re in a hurry or just prefer listening to someone else read, you can now get the audio books. Right now the publishers are holding a sweepstakes where you can win all 3 audio books together! Its great timing too because with the holidays right around the corner, those audio books could make an awesome gift.

Arg.. I still can’t find a way to get these to my local library! I hate living in the middle of nowhere!

so mom came home today from the hospital. the damage was minimal. her speech is slurred and she’s a bit slow but supposedly that will clear up in time. she has been diagnosed diabetic and so things will have to change, but that’s ok. at least it wasn’t fatal and at least it didn’t mess her up to the point where she was stuck bedridden or anything, so the worst is behind us.

my father was diabetic for most of my life, he found out he was diabetic when i was a kid… so its nothing new to us, and for the most part we don’t eat a lot of sugar.. except i guess mom was hording it or something. i swore off non-diet soda 2 years ago and then swore off soda almost completely earlier this year (now i only drink it at restaurants or as a special treat.)

i say “was” because after his heart attacks the doctors could find no trace of the diabetes in his system. his body had somehow shocked his pancreas back into functioning at the expense of the rest of him. when he was in the hospital they were giving him meds for his diabetes and found that it was messing him up bad. so they took him off of them and realized that he wasn’t diabetic anymore! its strange how the body works.

and so now its december.. lets hope this month doesn’t involve anyone going to the hospital!
