everyone who knows me, knows that one of my main vices is that i am addicted to flash games. anything from facebook games to arcade sites like funbrain com. they are great when i’m idle which is a large portion of my day. sites like funbrain are great when you don’t want to take the time to load up a full videogame and just want to play something silly and pass some time. i love puzzle games so the puzzle section of funbrain arcade is where you can usually find me.

do you have any good flash arcade sites you can recommend me? let me know in the comments!

its the beginning of april and at 10:30 am it is already 70F here! my ipod weather info ap says its going to be in the 90′s today o_o where on earth is all this heat coming from? usually in this area, the weather in april is rainy and cool, right now its like summer! i almost feel like i should be digging out the shorts, the sunscreen, and looking for homeaway.com coupons to help plan a vacation! (not that we can actually afford a vacation, but it just feels like summer, and summer usually means vacation time.). we’ve got our air conditioners going and i feel like i should duct tape a fan to my forehead.

if its this warm now, just think how hot its going to be when its ACTUALLY summer! i am really not looking forward to that :p. here’s hoping i don’t melt today. i have way too much to do and warm weather always makes me just want to curl up in a sweaty ball and sleep until it gets dark outside and cools down..

My brother and my sister-in-law have been looking into places to live recently. They want to start a family and get the heck out of this place. I don’t blame them really, I’d like to get out of here myself!

Anyway, I’ve been helping them research and find out more information about what they are planning to do. Most of what they’re looking at right now is rental property, because they really don’t know if they want to stay here in this area for the rest of their lives (or a good chunk of it at least), so they want something they can pick up from if things in this area don’t work out.

One thing my brother is really interested in, is the $8,000 tax credit that new home buyers get. (You can also get it if you haven’t owned a home in 3 years). He is hoping that it will still be available when they decide to stop renting and find a real home to live in.

I’m really excited about the idea of being an aunt! But I hate to see them leave. i wonder what my mom thinks about being a grandma… this stuff is making me excited!

so recently i have decided to start pulling myself out of my creative slump. since my dad died i have been pretty low and i have’t really focused on anything art related, but here recently i’ve had the itch again and its been pretty inspiring! i’ve been doing some neat tutorials and trying to learn more about the programs i have on my hard drive.

these are my two first attempts in zbrush. its an awesome program but its just really hard for me to figure out so mostly i make random blobs o.o

flipping over to maya i managed to make a pretty awesome usb plug following this tutorial from cgtuts. i love the tuts sites.. i am really in love with psdtuts but the cgtuts are just as awesome.

and of course there was yesterday’s easter picture which i forgot to post on here! oops… going against my usual code of no pink this is totally pinked out to hell.. i did learn some new stuff about lighting in this picture…

so i’m pretty stoked that i am improving! and i’m really happy that i have some sort of spark of creativity… i was getting worried there for a bit.

how did that happen? it was just january a few minutes ago… or so it seems at least. its a lovely 75F here where i live and i’m loving it. i’m not a fan of the cold weather we get here, even though i do love snow. if only we could have snow but not be cold it would be awesome.

my eye is doing better today. yesterday it swelled up pretty bad, almost shut. i have no idea what is going on in this house but we are having some major problems with bees this year! my brother has found 4 in the living room today, i have killed 3 in the last 15 minutes. this is nuts! i’m just glad no one here is allergic to them because this place would be a death trap.

i have several new games to write about for time waster of the moment.. if only i would stop wasting time and write about them :|

i’m not just wasting time though! i’ve started being creative again! i’m really happy to finally feel that spark of life once more. it means maybe i’ll get out of this funk i’ve been in. i’ve started drawing again and doing work in poser (as you’ve seen already) and it feels great.
