finally!
the parts have been ordered, i opted for rushed processing and overnight delivery so here’s hoping i have them in my hand sometime tomorrow! now the scary part comes and i have to learn how to assemble a computer all by myself! i watched some youtube videos and they alleviated some of my fears. it actually doesn’t look all that hard when you watch someone do it. just reading about it was scary because they kept telling you how it could go wrong if you do this or this wrong, but the videos were really helpful. even though they were not for my specific build, they did show how to do things like installing processors and heatsinks and stuff like that.
i found a couple of time lapse builds with the same heat sink i am using, and it looks like it might be a pain in the ass to install, but hopefully i’ll get it figured out in one go. if not, i have alcohol and cotton swabs and the thing comes with a full tube of thermal paste so i’ll just go at it until it does what its supposed to do!
i cannot wait to play my games again and work on stuff and have my own computer to play with. mom’s laptop is horrible! and her power cord won’t stay in which means i have to leave it in one spot and can’t move it around.
so anyway i’m excited and i wish i could get same day shipping lol…

I’m waiting on a part myself for my laptop. Freaking fan is loud and makes laptop overheat. I am on my 3rd cooling pad, but I really think I need to replace that heat sink/fan. I have had it on order since 2 weeks ago. Dell has had for some reason a back order on it. They assure me this time (after sending me 3 emails advising me of a later delivery date and asking to call so order isn’t cancelled that the part will mailed to me this week. I’m not holding my breath.

i would be so pissed to have to wait like that! i’d be calling them like mad trying to get some answers lol i’m pretty sure both new egg and paypal AND my bank now know not to mess with me because i can be pretty agressive when things aren’t falling into place like they are supposed to.

The stupid department I had to call I think 3 times had no idea WHY the order is backordered. They wanted to transfer me to antoher department, but I was in no mood to deal with their mostly think accented reps for the day.
I would be aggressive, but not such a good idea for me. I have bipolar and well… certain situations that piss me off go to a whole diff level. I had incredibly rage issues when irked the wrong way. My meds are supposed to be controlling my anger, but its still a work in progress. I am actually doing a lot better, but still it comes up every now and then so try to avoid certain things that trigger my pissiness. wtih my bipolar, I have more rage than anything. I will slump into depression too but yeah.. those suck. So no me having a altercation with companies cuz no bueno for anyone.
