for the past two days i’ve been sitting around poking at the internet with a stick. i’m online but everything is almost dialup slow and its really starting to get on my nerves. i’ve done everything possible that i can do to make it better on my end and its still not working. tomorrow i am going to call roadrunner and get some answers as to why the hell my net is suddenly so slow.

slow internet makes it harder for me to get anything done, since most of what i do is online (second life work mostly) and i end up spending all my time being lazy and reading a book or playing videogames to take up the large spaces of nothing. i guess i could get some articles done. i do have that one to write about Residential flooring that’s almost finished. but with this awful slow internet speed i’m not even sure if it would be safe to bother trying to work online at all.

tomorrow my internet better be working or i am going to be very pissed off. i seriously wish i could switch to something better but this is all we have around here.

cause i suck and keep forgetting to do these! hey i’ve been busy.. don’t kill me!

a song that you used to love but now hate

i know that a lot of my friends from high school went on to become nurses which i find very admirable… (its something i don’t think i could ever bring myself to do…) so i figured i would pass on some info about a great store that sells a great variety of nursing scrubs and uniforms. there’s no rule that says you shouldn’t look your best even when you are caring for the sick, that’s why its great to have a choice!

the chaos that is my home is going to start getting put in order. i’m tired of it and its driving me to the brink of insanity. i’m going to start doing my best to get things in order here. mom keeps losing things, and forgetting stuff and its fine because i know her memory is not good anymore, the stroke has really messed her up. but its time for the chaos to end.

i have started working on some solutions to problems we are having and hopefully she will be keen to assist me with things instead of just saying no (like she does now…). i’ve started us both on a website that allows us to share a calendar and shopping list, and todo list stuff. the next phase will be trying to talk her into staying awake during the day though i’m not sure if that is possible since her medication seems to knock her down a lot.

she needs exercise and so do i so i am going to propose walking in an indoor area like walmart or the small mall we have here. since its enclosed she can’t say no because of rain or heat. there will be air conditioning and seating and no excuses.

i’m also going to start a purge of the massive amounts of clutter in this house. i know some of it is mine but even when i’ve said “you can throw this away” she for some reason leaves it… and never throws it out.

hopefully this will ease both of our lives, but on the bad side it might make me go more crazy… we’ll see i guess.
