A couple of days ago I went to best buy with my brother and sister-in-law and got to play with the Playstation®Move controller. It was the first time I’d ever had the opportunity to play with a movement sensor videogame controller but it was so very easy to figure out!

It would be awesome to own a Move, especially with my family, because we have a huge tv in the living room and we could all get together and play games. Even mom could easily figure out the controller and join in! She’s always feeling left out because she isn’t really good at videogames, but I’m pretty sure we could find plenty of fun puzzles and family games for her to play with us.

I hadn’t realized how many games were available for the Move, but looking though the list I was pleasantly surprised to see a game I’ve been dying to play. Little Big Planet 2. I seriously want a Playstation®3 just for that game alone! But coupled with the Move? That would make it even more fun! I also saw Dance Dance Revolution on the list, which is one of my favourite games, and also a great source of exercise. I also saw some other popular titles I’d love to try with the Move controller, like Resident Evil 5, and Heavy Rain.

I still need to get a PlayStation®3, but once i do I’m definitely going to think about getting a Move as well.

so i was going to pace myself on season 3 of true blood but no.. that didn’t happen i finished it earlier today and now i just have to sit like a fiend and wait for more episodes X_x i’m going to start on the books because i like to see the differences between them. kinda wish the seasons ran around this time of the year though, because true blood would be awesome to watch though the halloween season.

speaking of holidays, i went to walmart the other day and yeah they have halloween stuff out, but they’re also starting on thanksgiving and xmas decorations too! and mom asked me if i can make xmas cards and get them printed at a site like 123print. hello? am i the only person who celebrates halloween anymore?? why does it seem like every year the stores push out the xmas stuff a little sooner every year? are they going to start selling xmas trees in july soon?

blah its late and i’m rambling! going to see if i can find sookie stackhouse books for my ipod e-reader and call it a night. feel free to recommend me specific books. i know there’s a ton of them.

sorry i haven’t really had much to blog about recently. i’ve been dealing with seasonal depression and just a complete lack of get up and go. i spend my day doing absolutely nothing. looking at websites and webhosting reviews out of boredom. i’m thinking of making a new blog layout again, but then when i get started i quit because i just really don’t have the energy.

this is the part of the seasons changing that i hate so much! on top of that, there’s also the fact that its officially autumn and i’m still sitting here sweating and have the air on full blast. why is it so hot?!?! i know i live in the south but i don’t live THAT FAR south. i wish the weather would go back to normal. its supposed to be chilly right now, not 91F!!!

i think i might start on that 30 day meme sometime soon. not sure when, need to get un-lazy, but it looks really cool and it will give me something to do when i can’t think of anything to blog. anyone else doing this meme? i know jenn is, but i haven’t seen anyone else doing it. i also need to get off my ass and remember to do the daydreamz weblogit post! i forgot to do last week’s D:

can you believe its already almost october? its still pretty warm here where i live, but once october hits its going to start getting super cold. i’m not really a fan of winter but i do like when it gets really cold a snows. someday i’d love to take a log cabin holiday with lucas and have it snow really heavy. its so beautiful when everything is covered in white and ice.

i wish it could snow without being cold! that’s the part i hate about winter. i hate being cold. most people hate being sweaty and hot but i hate being cold and having to bundle up. unfortunately for me, where i live it hardly ever snows. it gets really really cold, but no snow.

its crazy how fast this year has gone by! anniversaries, my birthday, everything has just gone by for me in a woosh. i’m really not sure if i’m looking forward to the coming months. december is never going to be a happy time of the year for me again, but maybe it will snow, and that will make it a little better. maybe i’ll go find out how much it costs to have one of those holidays

what do you do when you buy a new tv or a new computer? do you simply throw out the old model? or do you keep it around for spare parts? in my family, because my dad fixed electronics, we always kept our old stuff incase we needed a part or if nothing else, as a backup. if you’re the type of person who does throw out your old electronics, you should look into electronic waste recycling.

honestly i see no reason to really throw away anything electronic, even if its broken. parts can always be used to repair other items and if its not broken, you could sell it or give it to someone else who might want it. a lot of my old electronics are hand me downs. my first nintendo was from my dad’s repair shop. the person who brought it in never came back to claim it, so after a few months he brought it home to me. it worked just fine and it never really mattered to me that it wasn’t new. i guess i was a bit lucky though because my dad could fix practically anything. i’ve salvaged quite a few items with his help and i learned how to fix a lot of stuff myself as well. still, i guess after a while, stuff just cannot be fixed anymore, and that’s when you should take it to be recycled and made into things for other people to use.

you can find anything from business style templates, to normal personal blog themes, with 1 or more columns and widget ready themes to make designing your site even more simple! and downloaded themes are a great jumping off point if you do feel like customizing but don’t want to write all that code. they are also a great way to learn how to make your own wordpress themes!

Summer is almost over, and I still want to go on a vacation. Right now is a great time too because so many people are going back to school, so places are probably going to be less full than if I went in the middle of the summer. i haven’t bought anything off the wall crazy like a howard miller clock but i did buy myself a few games! i really need to sit down and write more about my gaming because recently i’ve been doing a lot of it.

earlier this month i bought garry’s mod and team fortress 2, both are very fun and i am playing the hell out of them. last night after my birthday money reached my paypal i nabbed grand theft auto IV and oh my god i love it so far. its been a really long time since i’ve played gta, and i really need to learn how to drive in that game again lol. i suck at car chases!

no more videogames for a while though. i have plenty and i should really finish them before buying more. bad nimi, bad….

i haven’t had a chance to write lately but i’ll try to fill in some blanks here.

-we got a new stove thanks to someone my brother did some work for. its really nice and has a glass top and heats up super fast! our old stove was the original one that came with the place and it was slowly dying. we only had 1 working eye and no oven! now we have 3 out of 4 eyes and a working oven one of the eyes on this stove would not turn off so we had the person installing it for us disconnect the wiring to that eye. the rest of it works great.

- my brother was in a small accident while bringing us the oven. he’s ok but mom’s car is wrecked. we’re not sure if it can be saved either. the brakes failed and he hit a pretty large pickup truck and it crushed the front end of mom’s pathfinder. she mentioned last night that they were saying it would cost somewhere around 1k to fix, and that’s just out of the question. we’ll probably just have to find another vehicle for her.

- mom got approved for medicaid! this is a big step. she’s been putting off going to her doctor visits because she didn’t have medicaid but now she has no reason not to go. she’s not so ill that she needs First Alert or anything like that, but i would feel better if she would go to regular checkups and make sure her sugar is ok.

that’s about all that’s been happening recently. not very eventful. the stove was probably the most excitement we’ve had in a while.
